RESPONSE TO WOMEN ARE GRADUATING 60/40 OVER MEN

SHOULD WE CONTINUE PROPPING UP MALES?





THIS IS A LETTER BETWEEN KATHERINE, A SCHOOL TEACHER,
AND RASA VON WERDER



So as to make my response easier to follow, I am writing in essay form, rather than directing to the individual points. I have a different perspective from yours, as I work in school, and have observed what he talks about first-hand. It is clear from the article that males are not only losing ground in a relative basis, when compared with females, but absolutely, compared with any previous generation of males.



(THIS IS PROVOCATIVE AND WE NEED TO KNOW MORE)

The females are naturally rising, but the males are failing to participate in their own education, which causes them to fall.


(KATHERINE, HOW DO YOU KNOW THE MALES DIFFER FROM WHAT THEY WERE BEFORE? OBSERVATION, OR STATISTICS? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TEACHING?)


They are wasting time in school instead of studying, and when they start to fall behind (or rather, realize too late how far they are behind and how much work would be necessary to catch up with their motivated classmates - not all females), they give up.

Like the author, I do not see any advantage for matriarchy if males become unschooled...

(KATHERINE, IT IS A LAW THAT EVERYONE GO TO SCHOOL TILL 16. SO THEY WILL NOT BE ILLITERATE, FOR THE MOST PART. THEY CAN HOLD DOWN JOBS REASONABLY WELL. SIMPLY LOWER ECHELON JOBS OR START THEIR OWN BUSINESS. COULD THAT NOT BE ENOUGH? DO THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE HIGHER DEGREES BECOME MONKEYS SWINGING OFF TREES? I PRAY YOU THINK THIS OUT A BIT)

...and unproductive to society, so this is a problem


(KATHERINE, DEAREST, I DID NOT GRADUATE COLLEGE AND LOOK AT ME. AM I NOT PRODUCTIVE AND BRILLIANT? I EDUCATED MYSELF. MY THREE SIBLINGS ALL GRADUATED GOOD COLLEGES AND I AM ON PAR WITH THEM AND EVEN HIGHER IN SOME WAYS. SINCE I RAN AWAY FROM HOME (ABUSE) AT 16, LIFE WAS ROUGH. I SUFFERED AND SUCCEEDED BY MY OWN STRENGTH AND GREW FROM PAIN. ACADEMIC DEGREES ARE NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR SUCCESS ALTHOUGH THEY DO HELP TO GO TO HIGHER LEVELS OF JOBS IN THE CORPORATE WORLD. DO YOU NOT AGREE?)


...that must be dealt with effectively. Shiftless males cause trouble to society.


(AGAIN, KATHERINE, THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS BESIDES GETTING THE BEST JOBS IN THE CORPORATE WORLD. THEY WILL HAVE TO CONSOLE THEMSELVES WITH LOWER ECHELON JOBS AND PERHAPS WILL HAVE TO LOOK TO THE WOMAN FOR SUBSIDY - IF THEY REQUIRE A BETTER LIFESTYLE. KATHERINE AND FRIENDS, WILL WE NOT HAVE TO RETHINK THE BEHAVIOR, ATTITUDES AND ACTIVITIES OF THESE FUTURE MALES? HOW ABOUT IF THEY DEVELOP SKILLS BY WHICH THEY CAN SNAG THE MOST SUCCESSFUL WOMEN? CHARM, HUMILITY, AGREEABLENESS, GOOD GROOMING AND APPEARENCE (EXERCISE, HEALTH, CLOTHES, COSMETIC HELPS ETC.) SOCIAL SKILLS AND GOOD CONVERSATION. AND NOW THE SHOE IS ON THE OTHER FOOT. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT? THESE SKILLS, WHICH WE WOMEN KILLED OURSELVES FOR AND ARE STILL STRUGGLING WITH, WERE THINGS MALES BASICALLY IGNORED. I SAW A SURVEY WHERE IT WAS LEARNED THAT ALMOST ALL SELF-HELP BOOKS WERE BOUGHT BY WOMEN. CANNOT MEN NOW BUY SELF HELP BOOKS AND IMPROVE THEIR CHANCES OF GETTING THE DYNAMIC WOMEN?)



They expend their physical energy with aggressive, risky behaviors, and avoid intellectual enterprise.


(THIS INTERESTS ME. PRECISELY, WO ARE YOU SPEAKING OF? WE NEED DETAILS ON THIS! THE BOYS IN SCHOOL, THE MEN IN THE WORLD? WHO ARE YOU SPEAKING OF?)


They either can't find work or won't try.


(IF THERE ARE NUMEMROUS MEN IN THE STREETS CAUSING TROUBLE WE HAVE TO AUGMENT THE POLICE AND PERHAPS FIND ALTERNATIVE HOUSING FOR NE'ER DO WELLS, WHERE THEY ARE SUPERVISED)


Worst of all, it is more difficult to get an education later in life if you were not prepared in your early years.


(AGAIN, KATHERINE, I SAY THERE ARE MANY TYPES AND LEVELS OF EDUCATION. WE KEEP THINKING OF MALES IN TERMS OF 'IF THEY DON'T GET THE BEST JOBS, THEY WILL BE IN THE STREETS MAKING TROUBLE.' IS THERE ANOTHER WAY?)


But as for affirmative action - the worst thing about affirmative action for disadvantaged groups, whatever the nature of the group, is that it does not address the issues that would have prevented individuals from achieving this success in their own right. Those who are accepted due to affirmative action are less well prepared and less likely to graduate anyway. So while the higher tier colleges can skim from the pool all the high-achieving males (and the slightly less well qualified ones as well) by offering disproportionate scholarships, the pool of males who are prepared to succeed in college is small and shrinking.

There are not enough interested candidates to keep a male presence at less prestigious campuses.


(WHO DO THESE MALES THINK THEY ARE? THEY CAN ONLY GO TO THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGES OR NOTHING? GIVE ME A BREAK! WHAT F__ING ARROGANCE!)


When males were favored by laws...

...their societal roles were narrowly defined. Since it was assumed that females would neither be required to nor allowed to support families, the obligation would have to fall to the males, and so they were trained to fill these roles and accepted them.

AND MORE, WOMEN CREATED BUSINESSES AND PAID BACK THE LOANS! EARLIER, WHEN THEY HAD GIVEN MONEY TO MALES, IT DISSAPEARED AND WAS NOT PAID BACK AND NO POSITIVE RESULTS FOLLOWED. KATHERINE, THINK ON THESE THINGS)


In any case, though it may be argued that IN GENERAL or ON THE AVERAGE males have somewhat less intellectual potential than females across the board, it is a mistake to say that this can tell you anything about any individual's potential.




(THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. THEY ARE LOWER IN EVERY WAY BUT YOU DO NOT KNOW THEIR POTENTIAL? THEIR POTENTIAL IS LESS THAN A FEMALE'S ON THE WHOLE. THIS IS FACT.)


Rasa, you may say that without constant affirmation and the unfair advantage society gives them that boys fold up, but I see a couple more factors at play. First, constant affirmation...


(THIS AFFIRMATION HAS BEEN ONLY RECENT, LONG OVERDUE, AND MINIMAL. MOSTLY FEMINISTS STARVING, CRYING OUT, GETTING ARRESTED AND ATTACKED. THEN OTHER WOMEN DOING BRAVE THINGS THAT GAVE THEIR SISTERS COURAGE. EVERYWHERE WOMEN WENT, EVERY PROFESSION, HORRIFIC DISCRIMINATION, CLOSED DOORS AND GLASS CEILINGS. WHERE IS ALL THIS AFFIRMATION YOU SPEAK OF? ONLY IN INSTITUTIONS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN GOVERNMENT IS IT REALLY MANDATED AND WATCHED CLOSELY THAT WOMEN GET THE JOBS AND PROMOTIONS. PRIVATE SECTOR STILL DOES WHAT IT WANTS - AND WHAT IT WANTS TO DO IS DISCRIMINATE AGAINST WOMEN.)


...is what has allowed women to strive for success and finally reach their potential, so I don't see this as an issue. But I do see that freedom to make choices has gotten out of control, and while females given freedom will often choose to better themselves, this is not always the case. Those of us on this list are like-minded. But I see many females in schools who are choosing to be followers of males...


(EVERYWHERE I STILL SEE THE BACKSLUDGE OF PATRIARCHAL PROGRAMMING. IT IS RIGHT HERE IN THE PRESENT GENERATION. I SAW IT ON THE STREET WHEN I PREACHED FOR 2 1/2 MONTHS AND PASSED BY THE SCHOOLS AND WATCHED BOYS AND GIRLS WALK TOGETHER. THEY HAVE BEEN NAILING LIES INTO OUR HEADS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS. SHALL WE WIPE ALL THIS AWAY IN A HUNDRED YEARS? GIVE US FIFTY MORE AND WE WILL DO IT.)

(WOMEN JUST HAVE TO BE PERFECT, DON'T THEY. THEY ARE MEASURED BY A DOUBLE STANDARD IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AS WELL. BOYS WILL BE BOYS. MEN ARE EXPECTED TO MISBEHAVE AND ARE FORGIVEN LOTS OF TIMES. BUT WOMEN? THEY GET SENTENCES SEVEN TIMES HARSHER THAN MALES FOR THE SAME CRIME. A WOMAN KILLS A MAN IN SELF DEFENSE AND SHE GETS IT. THE MALE KILLS A WOMAN - OUR OF HATE - AND GETS A FEW YEARS AND HE IS OUT. THESE ARE FACTS I LEARNED FROM AN ACLU HANDBOOK. AND NOW, YOU ARE SAYING THEY SHOULD ALL BE PERFECT? GIVE THEM A BREAK. NOT ALL ARE PERFECT. WHAT ABOUT THE 50% THAT HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY ABUSED BY THEIR DADS? SHOULD THEY BE PERFECT TO OR WILL YOU GIVE THEM A LITTLE SLACK?)

Meanwhile, males often choose to play and avoid participating in schools, beginning in the middle school years when they LEAVE the matriarchal school system. Elementary schools have always been
matriarchal, with most of the teachers and administrators females. This has not changed in the past 30 years, so the article fails to give any mechanism for it suddenly affecting the delicate psyches of young males.


(DELICATE PSYCHES OF LITTLE MALES? WHAT ABOUT THE PSYCHES OF LITTLE WOMEN? WHY ARE THEY OK? IS IT SOME KIND OF POISON TO LIVE IN A MATRIARCHAL SCHOOL OR SYSTEM? IF MALES RAN GRAMMAR SCHOOLS, YOU WOULD FIND - IMP - SEXUAL ABUSE. OH YES, I GUARANTEE IT!)


In fact, very little has changed in this time in the early grades. The middle and high schools are now set up to allow students more freedom in learning and making choices, which also gives them the freedom to choose not to learn, to choose to fail.



How has the system responded to students increasingly not participating? By propping up their grades irrespective of the work done, so they learn that showing up at school is enough to earn a passing grade. By allowing students to work in groups to earn grades, even though any individual may choose not to contribute yet still share in the grade earned by the group. With no need to pay attention to what is going on in class, boys spend their time socializing and goofing off.


(BECAUSE THEY ARE WEAK. LET THEM MEET THEIR FATE? WHY DO YOU WANT BORDERLINE APES TO RULE THE WORLD? WHY GIVE THEM THE ADVANTAGE OVER FEMALES? WHY PROP UP THE APES AND LET THE REAL LEADERS FALL TO THE CURB? WHY ARE YOU FEELING SYMPATHY FOR MALES WHEN THEY HAVE DONE HORRIFIC TORTORE TO WOMEN, CHILDREN, ENVIRONMENT, OTHER MALES, ANIMALS, THE PLANET. WHY ARE YOU FEELING SORRY FOR THESE MISCREANTS? WHAT IS BEST FOR THE PLANET? THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST DECIDE. NOT MOLLY CODDLING THE APES)


By the time they get to high school (where they are expected to suddenly start participating), they are so far behind and clueless about learning that they slip into low level classes where there is no learning ethic taught, and no one assumes they will ever go to college.


(THERE ARE OTHER PLACES FOR THEM, AS I SAID.)


I see this as a problem caused by schools, laws, and by parental interest (or lack of interest) in education for their children. Most parents have no interest in learning or reading, so cannot serve as an example to their kids of either gender. Everyone is still assuming that when given the freedom to choose, boys will choose to work hard and excel. But instead they choose socializing and avoidance. We allow this in schools.


(LET THEM MEET THEIR FATE! PERHAPS THE ONES WHO CAN'T MAKE IT IN JOBS CAN BE PUT ON WELFARE, INTO GROUP ENVIRONMENTS WHERE THEY ARE SUPERVISED AND WATCHED OVER (AS MALES ARE DANGEROUS.) HERE THEY CAN CONTINUE A LIFE OF SUPERVISED EDUCATION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND ACTIVITIES THAT DEVELOP THEIR LIMITED SKILLS. SORT OF LIKE ORPHANAGES.)



Males need firm guidance during their formative years to develop productive habits, and to continue to be productive.


(WHY THEY NEED FIRM GUIDANCE BUT GIRLS DON'T? THEY NEED MORE GUIDANCE THAN GIRLS BECAUSE THEY ARE INFERIOR. WHY ENCOURAGE THEM TO LORD IT OVER GIRLS, GET THE CARS, AND TAKE GIRLS OUT AND RAPE THEM? THIS IS ALL THEY DO WITH RESOURCES AND FREEDOM. WHY MAKE THE GIRLS SUFFER?)



It can only fall to women to guide men, and women need to understand this fact, and learn the skills they will need to rule men.



(SO WE ARE LEARNING. WE HAD SKILLS BEFORE, BUT WHEREVER WE WENT,DOORS CLOSED IN OUR FACES. I FOR ONE TRIED TO GET BOOKS PUBLISHED. EVERY PUBLISHER I WENT TO AND AGENT WERE MALES (ALTHOUGH NOT ALL ANDTHE WOMEN WERE BITCHES) ALL THEY WANTED TO DO WAS OGLE ME, ASK ME OUT, AND SEE IF THEY COULD TAKE POLAROIDS OF ME IN THE OFFICE, AND NONSENSE LIKE THAT. THERE IS MUCH TO SAY REGARDING ALL THIS. WOMEN ARE NOT WITHOUT FAULT. THEY ARE CATTY RATHER THAN SISTERLY. THEY ARE COMPETITIVE TO WOMEN AND TALK BEHIND YOUR BACK AND WILL TAKE YOUR MAN AWAY, IF HE HAS ANYTHING GOING FOR HIM. THEY CAN BE AS NASTY AS SNARLING CATS AND AS SNEAKY AS HYENAS. IN SPITE OF WHAT I HAVE SAID, THEY ARE FAR LESS DANGEROUS THAN MEN. THEY HAVE A NATURAL TENDENCY TO NURTURE LIFE AND CHILDREN. MEN DO NOT. THEY ARE DANGEROUS WITH CHILDREN AND SEXUAL ABUSE AND VIOLENCE FOLLOWS WHEN THEY ARE LEFT ALONE OR REJECTED. THEY HAVE PROVEN THEMSELVES UNFIT TO GOVERN THE FAMILY OR THE WORLD. THESE ARE THE COLD HARD FACTS. NOW MATRIARCHY IS HERE. WE HAVE NOT SEEN HER BLOSSOM - IT IS THE BUD. LET US MAKE WAY FOR IT, PREPARE FOR IT. IT IS INEVITABLE.)
